Our Gang : The "Our Gang" short film series first surfaced in 192 as a sort of revolt against Hollywood's portrayal of children as "miniature adults." Quality writing and highly intuitive production made this low budget series a hit. Telling the story from a child's perspective worked- so well, in fact, that in 1955 MGM offered a package of these original short films to television where the series aired almost continuously on many stations and all at the same time.
